An Adventure That We’ll Take, and Make, Together

It’s about time I came clean. 2021 was not a good year for anybody, and some of it has hampered The DPB’s progress. We had lofty goals and high expectations, but life got in the way, as usual. Between jobs, family, COVID, and car accidents, I just never found the time to expand the site quite as much as I’d hoped. As the end of the year approached, I found myself with less and less free time.

After the accident, we had a hard time arranging the podcast. I also had plans for a vlog, custom made mixes of theme park audio, and a showcase of some of my photography, including pictures I’ve taken with my Fuji 3D camera. I intended to have something new for the site every week. Blogs, podcasts, and vlogs would be released monthly, as well as some form of exclusive media, guide, or review. So far, the only progress I have made in this venture has been almost monthly blogs and podcasts, and a handful of guides and media reviews.

But it’s 2022 now. If I’m going to do anything, it has to be soon. So I’m asking you — our readers and followers, our listeners and subscribers, and our would-be viewers — to help us out. If you’re reading this, there’s a pretty good chance you know what we’re all about. You understand our opinions, concepts, and our critical appreciation of everything the Walt Disney World Resort was, is, and can be.

If you would like to be part of the Utilidork team, send us a message here, or using the link in the site’s header menu or footer. Write something for the blog that fits the already existing content. Show us a sizzle reel of Disney park video that you we could use in a future vlog. Suggest potential discussion topics for podcast episodes. Send us unique photographs that would work well with the site — anything you can think of that would improve and complement what I have already begun to build.

On my end, I plan on doing more for the site than ever before. My family and I will be going to Walt Disney World later this month, and I will be taking pictures and videos specifically for the site. I will continue to write articles, edit audio, and upload content whenever I have the opportunity. We now have a Discord channel for interacting with friends and followers, so sharing ideas with us and each other is easy. And, of course, there is always our Patreon, to which you can contribute, with tier-specific perks.

In any case, expect more productivity in the coming weeks/months, and if you have something to contribute, I will happily consider anything you have to offer to help The Disney Park Bench grow. Thank you for your patience, support, and thank you in advance for anything you have to offer!
